but its not here
and its not now
and it'll never be again
your hand in mine
but those times are gone
and I sit all alone
and it'll never be again
dark streets
bright lights
and it'll never be again
i've made my bed to sleep
and i'll never wake again
warm nights
damp sheets
and it'll never be again
and i've made my bed to sleep
and i'll never wake again
dark hair
red lips
and they'll never be again
dark streets
bright lights
and it'll never be again
i've made my bed to sleep
and i'll never wake again
warm nights
damp sheets
and it'll never be again
and i've made my bed to sleep
and i'll never wake again
First full lenght album by the band, preceded by the two excellent EP's 'Fault Line' and 'Reflections'. In line with their now characteristic sound and influences, October Burns Black deliver a great collection of tracks whose spell is impossible to resist.
Classy and classic gothic rock at it's best. Dionysos Nyktelios
Cinematic-scale goth from Reflection Black with catchy melodies, dreamy synths, punchy rhythms, and a sense of timelessness. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 21, 2023
A killer re-release of a rare solo post-punk LP from 1988 by the frontman of Taste of Decay and Garden of Pleasures. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 17, 2022
I like the subtle way in which the tracks connect to the album cover, making this resting maiden the center point — calm in the midst of storm. (Just my interpretation maybe but the cover gives extra depth to the music... a softer undertone). The image reminds me of ‘Annunciation’ by Dante G. Rossetti used in ‘Adrenaline’ music video.
‘Smoke and Mirrors’ puts me at peace with big disappointments — a bittersweet musical potion.
